Cortisone injections are a safe and effective way of providing relief from many musculoskeletal conditions and have been shown to provide excellent long term results when combined with traditional physiotherapy treatment. Your physiotherapist will advise you if an injection would be helpful as part of your treatment plan following your assessment.

Hyaluronic acid injections are used specifically for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The thickened fluid is injected into the joint space to cushion the joint and promote further joint fluid production. This leads to a reduction in your pain and stiffness and is likely to last for several months. You may have repeat injections to maintain the benefits gained.
